NYC club movement Dizzy Ventilators (Nublu Records) and singer-songwriter Monica Lionheart (Nacional Records) are coming together on a 2012 Spring Tour. Dizzy Ventilators was born in Fall 2008 to Yusuke Yamamoto and Daniel Jodocy. Both who have had previous experience with dance music success, collaborating with the band Brazilian Girls on their Grammy Nominated third album, New York City. With their latest EP, Coney Island, Dizzy Ventilators invited Monica Lionheart to take on vocals, and together they found a richness in harmony that carried throughout the album as well as on stage.

Rey Cabrera y sus amigos

Rey Cabrera (Cuba) was born in the mountains around Santiago de Cuba in 1943 and grew up with the traditional Cuban music, the ‘SON’. A master on the Cuban guitar "tres" he accompanied for more than 20 years Maria Ochoa directing the band ‘Corazon de Son’ and played festivals such as Montreux Jazz, North Sea Jazz in South Africa. Rey is one of the last ambassadors of this wonderful Cuban Music, a master on the tres and a fantastic warm vocalist. Leslie Kisumuna is the granddaughter of the “Odeon Kin” band’s saxophonist and composer, René Kisumuna, who has also been one of the rumba precursors in The Democratic Republic of Congo. He transmitted her a precious legacy: a gift for music. Leslie Kisumuna calling in music began with gospel at her church. Although the youngest of the choir, she attracted the attention of music celebrities. Her talent as an actress and singer debuted in the musical comedy "Spartacus, the Gladiator," produced by Elie Chouraqui. Her charisma and strong vocale perfomances where she superbly blends African rythms, gospel, soul and disco has seduced the public on several continents. A keen artistic sensibility and eclectic spirit pushes her to explore different musical styles from R&B, electro house and rock, with famous artists such as Louie Vega, Bodhi Satva, Papa Wemba, Maxime le Forestier, Yael Naim, Reste Bahoua and the Tabu brothers.

Born in Louisiana, growing up in Los Angeles, Fred started his musical career singing in gospel choirs andplaying drums in the school band. Today, with his own band “COSY” Fred ploughs through every town and festival in Europe, making the people party like never before on good old and new funky tunes from the soul of Black America. “Going back to his roots”, Fred plays drums with African bands from Ghana and Zaire. On special occasions he performs with African & American community gospel choirs.
